Update

Haven't blogged in a while. Ah Pa starting to kacau (through Ah Mi, hehe) So here's an update about me for the past roughly two months...

First: New Lappie!

That's right, I got a new laptop. The old one was having problems and after reformatting it and taking it to a shop to get it fixed, it didn't improved. So, I had to say sayonara to the old HP-Compaq and get a new one. And the replacement is...

another HP! Hehe..

This model is :

HP Pavilion 15.6" Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.2GHz Laptop (DV6-1334CA) - White

Kinda big really. And I'm using Windows 7 right now, which I think is better than Windows Vista, which I personally prefer over Windows XP. =p

For me, 

Windows 7 > Windows Vista > Windows XP

The comp is working well now, no bugs whatsoever. Me liking this lappie!! and me liking HP!!

Second: Medical Update

Notice the orange bottle? That's the bottle that I have to pee in for the doctors. There's two of them, which means I have to pee into a bottle for two days straight. The white container next to that bottle is my water boiler, which can contain approximately 1.2 liters of water. When the doctor handed this to me, I was wondering how much I would fill this up. Well, I did fill it up, but only to about half. =( Bladder ain't working right I guess. But still, will be going to see the doctor again soon.

Third: Skating!

Yup, I went ice-skating!! This event was organised by the International Student Society, so I went just for the heck of it. And OMG, this is so freaking tough. Fun though, but my legs hurt for a few days, especially around the ankles there >.<

Fourth: Olympic Torch Passing!

That's me and my friends with one of the mascots of the Winter Olympics. Cute huh? The passing of the torch was average, but everything else was electrifying, the atmosphere, the crowd, the performances. Truly an event not to be missed. But the cold temperature with wind made my fingers so cold that my fingers went number for a while. While on the way to McDonald's for dinner, they were stinging a little, a very very bad sign... Anyway, I still have my fingers intact. Got a whole lot of goodies too from the Olympic Torch Passing.

P.S. I've been drooling a lot when I sleep these days. The effects of Ah Ko and Ah Jie pinching my cheeks seem to be showing now... >.<

True Feelings

I feel weird now. 

I've been trying to write this post for so long. 

But every time I try to write something, 

I'm always stuck. 

In the end, 

I stare at this page for so long, 

Too long. 

I just don't know...

I don't know how I really feel right now

I've never felt like this before

Its hard to describe how I feel

Bored? Disappointed? Hopeless?

No.. not those.

Its something bigger, deeper

But I just don't know what it is.

I just feel...

Lifeless. That's what it is.

I rarely find joy these days.

I used to be able to laugh

Laugh about anything, anytime

Yet, these days...

I feel so fake. 

Sometimes, its real, but its rare.

Rare..

I have a very rare life.

Its rare because I know

I'm very blessed

To have the people that are in my life now

To have the luxuries that others never had

To have the immense love and support

I'm truly blessed

These days, I find little things to look forward to

Very little things make me laugh genuinely

Life for me, was handed on a silver platter

And yet, I find it so hard to live

I feel like life is pushing me

Pushing me to the edge

A little bit more and I might fall

Fall... into nothingness

I always appear fine

I don't want anybody to worry

I try to hide

But my hiding place is not safe anymore

I find no solace in it

I know I have to open up

But after years of hiding

I don't know how

I don't know why I can't

And I'm scared

Scared to lose everything

Everything dear to me

I just need to put this in writing

So I can reflect on it

When a similar thing happens.

Argh!!

Recently, my comp has been giving a hell lot of problems. Aside from the usual slowness, nowadays, starting up also has major problems. It reports saying that there's something wrong with the system... so far I can't do system restore, gonna try to format the whole thing first. If the problem persist... then... I duno liao >.<

Should I buy a new laptop? Hehe... right now its still okay though =(

Short But Important Update...

Well, I haven't been blogging for 2 weeks now... so a short update about my life right now...

1. Kidney problem
So far so good, just another episode of pain, but shorter duration and less painful. Drank a cup of water, then after that went to the loo... after a while, pain was gone. Been trying to make an appointment with the urologist but nobody seems to be picking up the phone...

2. Studies
Study-wise, I'm going to classes, paying attention, doing my assignments. All's good, nothing to worry about yet... haha

Well.. that's that about my life right now.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!

I found myself a pretty gal, pretty, smart and loving gal. Her name is Huan Huey Wen, 范慧雯. Love her so much!
Actuallly, to tell you the truth... when I first saw her while working at The Store, I was kinda attracted to her a little. But being the shy guy that everybody know (and love =p), I dismissed those feelings as just a crush, and worked like normal.

Soon after I quit, I thought that was the last time I would see her, but then... her farewell party, I forgot who invited me along, but I saw her again, together with her family. We had barbecue. A fun night, I would say, since I got to see her again.

After that, we started msn-ing each other. And for some reason, everytime I talk to her, whether its about her problem or mine, I always feel happier, delighted, no matter the outcome, I always feel better after that. But I didn't really gave it much thought at that time.

So... after millions or perhaps billions of msn-ing to and fro... I finally have confirmed my feelings for her. No joke, seriously this time, I know it.

So on 12th September 2009, I mustered up my courage, and just said to her...

"wo hen xi huan ni"

She didn't reply immediately.
Awkward moment...
I thought I failed...
Then.. she said... she was too happy. Took me by surprise. Heart stopped a moment. Then I felt joy. So much joy. And from that day on... I was hers, and she was mine. =)

p.s. My priorities are my studies, and with this super piggy to tell me to go study and do assignment, want to fail also cannot. =p

All's Fine...

Just got back from the hospital. Damn they work so slow.. >_<. I went there at 8.00am. Waited till 9.30am then only I got to do my ultrasound. By that time, it was 11.30am when the test was done. So there goes my first class. And to wait for the results, I sat in the waiting room until 2.30pm! So my second class is a goner. And at 2.30 they called me in, but the doctor only came at 3.30pm! By the time he explained to me everything, it was 4.00pm. My third class starts at 4.05pm, and I was hungry since I didn't have lunch at that time. So my third class was also skipped. =_=. So today is the first day where I skipped all my classes for the day this semester... just when I so semangat want to go to class...

Anyway, back to the main topic, after venting enough. The report came back, saying that I have two small unobstructed stones in my left kidney, about 5mm - 6mm. I don't have the report of course, but I peeked a little, being the curious me as always. The doctor said that the pain I felt two nights ago were most probably some of the stones going to my bladder, and I most probably have passed them out without me knowing it, since at the time of the pain, I did not even think that I have kidney stones.

So, I'm fine now. Will be making an appointment with a urologist, recommended by the doctor, just for further checking, but shouldn't be too alarming. So no worries~

Pain Pain...

It happened at 1am today... I was happily sound asleep when it happen... a sharp, excruciating pain came and whacked my left side, around the hip area. It was so painfully that I could hardly get up at that time. A few minutes went by, I rolled all over the bed. Until I can tahan the pain a bit, then only did I walk to the bathroom... why, I do not know. Then after that I just went around the house, hoping that a little bit of walking would do wonder.

No use.

Then after that I tried having a slice of bread. Wrong thing to do. I ended up torturing myself even more because my throat seems to have closed for the day. Then after that, panadol. Work a little I guess, but still sakit..

So.. magic number, 112...

So waited for them... called Jeanne to get ready to open the door for them (just in case I pengsan or anything...) Then they came, took my bp, temp and whisked me off to the hospital!

There, they took even more bp, more temp.. more stuff.. then I was made an appointment. By that time, the pain has subdued a little... but still quite painful...

After that, met the doctor, he asked questions, I answered, bla bla bla... then time to give urine sample. A hell lot of waiting in between though... and I got a little sleepy...

After the urine sample, they did their thing (I dunno what they did but it took them a hell lot of time), the doc came back and said, we found traces of blood in your urine. You might have a kidney stone. We'll need to do some blood tests and an ultrasound.

Then I woke up... BLOOD TESTS!!! Damn...

Jolly nurse comes in, ties the strap around my arm and wonders... where the heck is my vein... she still couldn't find it... weird...

then she ties the strap at my wrist and found it... found it and started sucking my blood, through a syringe of course. And I felt the same when I did blood test for jpa.. lightheaded... dizzy... faint... I had to lie down for 15 minutes after that... >_<

After that, I walked back home, in the chill of the night and the howling wind, to get ready for my math class at 8.30am. Right now, having noodles and chicken for yesterday's dinner cum today's breakfast.

Having an appointment with the doc tomorrow at 8.00am - 9.30am for the ultrasound.

Damn...

Life back in Montreal...

I'm back in Montreal liao~ sorry for the late post (<-- David). Kinda busy with unpacking and stuff.

Btw, brought a few of my "family" to stay with me in Montreal~~~ here they are...

Karaoke Sessions~

Ever since I'm back in Taiping, there's this new place in town called "Taiping Sentral". Actually, it ain't new, just that for me, its new la~~ Mentang-mentang I orang Montreal kan? ;p

Anyway... when I was in Montreal, HueyWen keeps telling me, when u come back, we go sing K ok? (This is right after she got wind of me singing K in Montreal after XiaoWei's celebratory dinner). I mean, I just went one time... ONCE! Then the following night... HueyWen's MSN message came, short and direct, "ky, you come back, we must go sing K. --> followed by evil grinning monkey emoticon..." Without the usual "hi", she went, we MUST go sing K. End of story...

So I came back, hoping she had forgotten about the K thingy... mana tau, first thing she saw me, sing K! *sweat* So... I paiseh wan refuse her lor... After all, I thought it would just be a one time thing ma. Apparently not...

First session - With David, ChiewBee, Sinyee, and her...
Second session - With the above except David (David ffk me... T_T)
Third session - With more people, too many sessions to remember the people that went already. I was that blur!
And there was a fourth session... was there a fifth? I lost count...

Those sessions, we all (read: guys) know how it goes. The guys all sit quietly listening to girls singing until its time~ We're perfectly happy with that. However... this girl is something else... she FORCES people to sing... not through force, but by persuading and using the two most taboo words, "SOU HENG" <-- power word, remember guys. So she say like that, have to go right? Ish... talk about persuading...

During all those sessions, I have no idea what to sing.
Chinese? Yeah right...
English? Sien...
Malay? Lagi sien...

So in the end, I ask her to choose for me. BIG mistake! She takes the opportunity to buwee me... Q_Q. She go and choose chinese songs pulak... aiyoyo... sei lor... mm sai cheong lor... yat deng pengsan lo... This happens every karaoke session... I kena buwee... during karaoke... haiz...

Conclusion: Never, Ever, let Miss Huan make song selection for you if you go sing K with her, unless you want to kena buwee~

But in truth, those sessions were great fun, the girls sang good (choir ma..), the guys, ma ma dei~ So... sing K, we leave it to the girls la, ok? hehe...

Genting~ My Second Home~

As many of you know, since my return in May, I'va been to Genting for 1.. no wait, 2... no... 3 times. 3 freaking times. Before I went overseas, Genting was like once half a year thing for me. So to go to Genting 3 times in a span of 2 months means I have used my one and half year Genting quota. Therefore, Genting is my second home! (Although I don't know much about it... hehe)

The first two times, I went with me family. Family first of course! Of course, when go with family, stay more in the hotel... nobody "pei" me go play games~ Just got my BearBear to "pei" me play laptop... who.. btw.. very bising everytime I play DoTA. haih~

And then, there's the trip with friends. That one, if bring laptop also sure no time to on... cause these people, dunno how to rest wan. I pulak, terikut-ikut them gila... But then, it was a nice trip with them. A party of 6, my favourite party number, and a balanced party, of 3 guys and 3 girls.
Chronology of events:
1) Arrived, 2 hours+ to check in.
2) Night time, so go First World Plaza walk around, played bowling and pool~
3) Next morning until evening, Outdoor Theme Park!!!
a) Swinger~ thing that goes round and round and round and round and rou...
b) Pirate ship~ thing that goes swinging left and right, left and right, left and ri...
c) Spaceshot~ also and better known as solero shot...
d) Corkscrew~ as the name implys, its a rollercoaster shaped liek a corkscrew...
e) Flying Dragon~ if only the dragon could fly of the rails...
f) Thunder Mine something, I can't remember~ A roller coaster in which you see nothing inside... because its pitch black...

After that, it started to rain~ heavily. So lunch time it is then. After lunch, continue play! First thing after rain, (and lunch) Tea cup! These people really really sot! After lunch go play tea cup, gone la lunch! But they still wanted to play the cup. So off we went. Luckily each of us were given a cup of our own, so we spin according to our stomach la. But then, one of the girls, she didn't spin... so... the Genting worker there "helped" her... helped a bit too much... and she was groggy after the ride. Pity her only.. xD. We also went to Dinosaurland, kinda like an educational tour for children to learn about Dinosaurs~ and also the Space Lab, which sucks to the max because I couldn't see any possible nice thing about it. I mean seriously, we sat in there, facing each other. And in the middle, there was a kind of set-up for an experiment. And when the thing started, I think it was supposed to make us feel like we're being turned over and over and over and ov... Anyway, it didn't work. I can clearly see that the surroundings were being turned instead of us, and throughout the 10-15 minute "ride", I only had pretty lights to enjoy... swt! Also, we visited our childhood by sitting on the merry-go-round~~~

Then night time, after dinner that day, somebody wanted to go to the haunted house. That somebody, was SinYee. And eventually, that somebody... namely SinYee, went... erm.. how should I describe it, *jump jump stomp stomp*. That was just too funny to watch. Instead of feeling scared, I was laughing the whole way through!!! Mwahahahahaha~

Next day, end of the trip, pack, jalan!

Redang Trip~

As promised, I said I will blog about the redang trip. Not to say really blog, but... more like photos here and there. After all, pictures are worth a thousand words, aren't they? Oh well, let's get started...

On the 26th of May, 2009, Me, Vijay(VJ), SekLun(SL), FuhYuen(FY), TungKeat(TK), ChunKit(CK), ShuYing(SY), WeiChian(WC), Elynn(El), ChiewBee(CBee), HueyWen(HW) went to redang. VJ, SL and FY went from KL while the rest, well, from Taiping la. As usual, I was late for the bus... Sorry la... xD

On the bus, most of us, the usual 5.00am sleepers aren't sleepy yet. Therefore...

Well, after the wait for the boat, we went on the boat(obviously). On the boat, most of us look around at the beautiful scenery... others.. well, they were busy doing something else...

And so... after checking in, in a few more hours was a snorkeling session. So before that, a few, namely, Cbee, SY and El voiced their... erm... discomfort in the water. All because they didn't know how to swim. The easy part was to teach them to swim. The hard part... was to teach them to trust the life jacket. One would have thought that the norm would be the opposite but then again... stranger things have happened...
Anyway~ snorkelling session, was fun, I guess. No pics though, because I didn't bring my camera~ Saw a hell lot of fishes and corals. Lucky I didn't eat any fish that day, otherwise, I'm gonna smell like a fish among the fishes and it ain't gonna be good.

After the session, some of us, just couldn't get enough of the water. Therefore... we went to the back and play more water! Play play play until dinner. These people only know how to play nia... haih~ After dinner, play summore!

The usual nightly activity... "sit big 2"!

That was the night then... except for TK, who conked out after 3/4 of Carlsberg... The rest of us, we played "chor dai dee" and "Angels & Demons". First time I played A & D, so it was more funny to me than fun... xD. Next morning, WC came to knock on the door for us to catch the sunrise~

That morning, we went for another snorkelling session. Altogether, there are 3 sessions for us. By the end of the second session, we were feeling kinda... well, bored. After all, one can only see that many fishes and corals in a span of two days now isn't it? Well, I went for the three sessions anyway. A few of us stayed back, cause these sessions are quite tiring. Other than fishes, there are other interesting things to see and do in Redang.

Life...

Well, the UPU results are out today(yesterday). Not that it affects me, but still, it affects my friends ma. Well, most people that I know, I mean my friends, didn't quite get what they wanted. Some, I would say, probably deserved it, others, well, I would say, got cheated out of it. The percentage of those that deserved it is minuscule though. To that very much larger chunk of the pie percentage, the chunk that I feel got cheated from what they are supposed to get, all I can say is that I'm sorry to hear what has happened. But I just wanna say, don't be disheartened by this current run of events. It may not be what you want now, but like my father, the chemical guru always say, life is like a U-tube, life will have ups and downs, so if now is your "down" time, sooner, things will look brighter~

Freaky Dream...

I haven't dreamt in my sleep for quite a while now. But if I recall, all my dreams were not too bad, not too good. However, last night, I had a very very freaky dream.

It all started with me, sitting behind the wheel of the white Nissan Sunny of 26 years. I was driving quite nicely~ then as I made a turn, what is supposed to be a nice, straight FLAT road, became a steep hill, just like the road up Genting Highlands, but this time, I'm at the top, and I'm going down.
Well, it ain't that freaky yet, until I realise, my brakes aren't working, and I'm gaining 5m per hour per second. And as all of those that love to go Genting, we know that the road there ain't for speeding~

Somehow, miraculously, I managed to steer myself all the way down albeit the brakes weren't working.
*Hint to mum and dad: even my brain says I can drive that well! xD*
However, all that came to nought because as soon as I reach the bottom, one hell of a large lorry came and ram me over~ Q_Q. Just when I thought its gonna be a good dream~ Haiz....

Now here's the freakiest part...
1) That old Nissan Sunny, was just traded in for a Proton Saga like, erm... two days ago.
2) I have a Genting trip due 3 days later...

According to my mum, that old Nissan's coming back to get me... although I did nothing wrong to it... albeit me driving the Wira instead of it wouldn't cause it to have green headlights, would it?

"It's weird how things happen. However, things will and do happen. Best we can do is work hard, and hope..."

Baby Steps~

Today, Ah Pa finally took the very gigantic great big leap of faith and sat on the front passenger seat of our maroon Proton Wira with MOI behind the wheel! Not just any wheel, the steering wheel! Usually is Ah Mi only but today, after breakfast, Ah Pa decided, "Ok lar, let Ah Yau drive me and my dar back home lar." Fulamak, I just cuba-cuba only, mana tau dapat! Haha~

As far as I know, Ah Pa only sat in Ah Ko's driven car, Ah Jie not yet~ bluek~ *smiles proud*

Then during the car ride, Ah Pa tried (unsuccessfully) to take a photo of me, the driver, with the camera phone. Haha, murah mia phone, cannot take photo lar~ means have to ride again, equipped with a better camera. Wakakaka~

Right now... in TAIPING!

Huhu~
Back in Taiping dy, trip was quite fast. Now sitting at the dining table, watching TV (^_^) and also spending some much needed quality time with BearBear! He looks so angry when I went to meet him. Well, 8 months of my absence can do that to him... XD

Also, I got a much needed haircut already. Otherwise, like most people say...
"One son went, but a daughter came back."
Haha~

And when I opened my house's door... OMG! So many new stuff! First thing I noticed was, new TV! Damn... but other than that.. nothing much changed, still have the same old smell that I liked, that same homey feeling that I get. Ah~ so nice to be back at home finally~

And to those that complain of heat and humidity... erm.. I still haven't felt it.. Haha~ Eat that suckers!

Right now... in TAIPEI!

Yup, I'm now safely in Taipei, waiting at gate A9 to board my flight to Penang. Its now 6.49am, my flight is 9.15am, therefore, I still have... 2 hours, 26 minutes to spend at Taipei!

Right now, I seorang waiting, so basically, I have the whole waiting place all by myself. Flight was ok, I guess, after all, its China Airlines. Handsome stewards, pretty stewardesses... haha...

Watched 3 movies during the flight, 2 English, one Cantonese. "Mall Cop" was furny, but exciting. InkHeart was... erm... okok only la I guess, expected more from it. Oh well... and the Cantonese one, Lady Cop and Papa Crook, I thought it would have been something more serious.. turns out.. comedy like hell only. Also, was halfway through "The Reader", then flight landed. Maybe will download it and watch it all over again, as I sure was burnt out from watching three movies. Need to regain back the strength to watch another movie. Haha~

Also, wanna say sorry to Guan Yim... I had beef for dinner. Haiz.. no other choices available. Didn't think about the flight serving beef to passengers, some more I saw so many Indians/Punjabis, so I thought the chances of beef on the plane = 0%. Mana tau... its due to the large number of Indians/Punjabis on the flight that my chances of eating beef increase ten-fold..

Yup, that's right, I'm at YVR now, Vancouver airport, waiting for my flight to Taipei. Good thing they have Internet here (FREE). The pics above are just those that I took when the plane started taking off. After that, I forgot to bring my camera when I visited dreamland, so.. no pics from there. Also, I slept through the whole flying experience because next to me, was one hyperactive kid, the whole plane was watching the Stanley Cup playoffs, and everything on the plane needs $$. Therefore, to save myself from spending, I went to zzzz.

When I woke up, it was time to get off the plane, the kid next to me was sound asleep, and when he awoke, he was tugging at his koala, and also tugging at his unbuckled seatbelt. Well.. I guess kids these days, nothing to say la.. had to have his dad keep telling him, "Hey, your free, let's go". Like talking to one prisoner that doesn't wanna be free only...

Right now, its 10.15pm. My flight is at 1.30am. Still got 3 hours, 15 minutes. I don't know what to do already... xD

May 8th... 3 more days...

I'm sitting at my engineering building (Trottier) to use the internet because my internet line has been cut off... oh well.. that means no Internet for the next 3 days... luckily I have a good collection of movies... ^_^
I still have three more days to go, and frankly speaking, I have no idea what to do. Seems like the Internet is so vital in my life. Means that... I gotta find something else that doesn't have to do with the Internet in my life, otherwise I would be consumed and controlled by the Internet... zzz
Sure.. I could sleep... but then.. after 20 hours of sleep, one tends to be bored now doesn't it?

Today, chemistry finals, could have been better. But due to insufficient preparations and extreme uncomfortable hall conditions... the rest, you guys should be able to figure it out.

What I mean by extremely uncomfortable hall conditions is.. its super-duper cold! Colder than outside, so you say le? The guys behind me was practically, literally trembling due to the cold. I can hear his teeth chatter and every 5-7 minutes, he would suddenly go, "brrr".

Haiz.. first time I ever felt this bad after a chem test... Q_Q

Bad bad bad Day~

Today... is a very very very bad day... to start off, I wanted to wake up at 9am to review my Physics for finals, I woke up at 11am. Then, review finish, still got time, so I took a short nap. My finals started at 2pm, I freakingly woke up at 2.30pm!!! That is so f***ed up! So... like any normal student would do, rush out to the examination hall to save whatever time that one have right? So... in the process... I forgot to collect my five essential "get-out-of-house" items.. namely, my wallet, phone, watch, house keys, and... erm... what's the last thing again... oh ya.. specs.. >_<. Go to the examination room, no place pulak! Have to go another room... then reach there, sweaty, panting, exhausted, I start the exam... *dum dum dum*

End exam, had to go library... test my already bad luck. Go facebook, luckily Xiao Wei online... if not... I duno what to do already. Had to ask her to msn people, because I never thought of using ebuddy... *slaps forehead* Then, Jia Man to the rescue! The other two pigs must be sleeping... =_=. Anyway, went back to my room... luckily Adam, my roommate just got back. So he was there to open the door. Otherwise, I would have to crash with the two pigs and Jia Man.

So... this post, other than to lament on my luck today, is to thank Xiao Wei, Jia Man, and Adam Chang! Whee... terima kasih... arigato!!!

Today is a Good Friday! Oops... not "a" Good Friday, just Good Friday. Anyway, I went to this procession today, Good Friday procession I call it. Now, the first thing one would ask is... what the heck is a non-Christian, namely me, doing in a Good Friday procession?

Well... so the procession went smoothly partly due to the fact that the police were everywhere directing traffic so that we don't get stuck or anything. Feel like a VIP.. haha. It was a nice experience, though one church didn't let me take photos inside... =_=. Too bad most of it is in French though, so I just listen to the choir sing... and that is not in English either... basically, I went, listened to songs, walked from church to church, and took photos! Damn I'm happy.
